‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and the Giant Connection to ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’

Sebastian Stan, A.K.A. the Winter Soldier, A.K.A. Bucky Barnes, A.K.A. Jeff Gillooly, has unleashed vague torrent of details at an Ace Comic Con panel regarding some unexpected guests in Avengers: Infinity War. As reported by ComicBook.com, Stan revealed that some guest characters from the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp film will make an appearance in Infinity War.

Those guests include Michael Douglas, who plays Dr. Hank Pym in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Michelle Pfeiffer, who will be introduced as Pym’s long-lost wife, Janet Van Dyne. And now we know that Pfeiffer will make her debut in Avengers: Infinity War, rather than Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Stan got into details, explaining that “There was one scene, I think, we had where everybody was there. I can’t really talk about that scene, but I knew it took them three months in planning this scene to have everyone there. You look around and you just saw everyone from Samuel L. Jackson to Michael Douglas to Michelle Pfeiffer. Everybody was there.” While Ant-Man himself (Paul Rudd) still isn’t confirmed to make an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, I think it’s safe to say that he’ll be there, probably for a brief, climactic, crowd-pleasing cameo if nothing else.

Stan went on to mention a few other heroes connected to other Marvel movies who will join the battle against Thanos. “I look to my right and I see Tom Holland (Spider-Man) and Dave Bautista (Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy),” Stan said. “I see them in the corner and Tom is literally the size of Dave’s leg, I don’t know what they’re talking about but Bautista jumps up and does a kick-punch move and I was like ‘Yo, you’re about to kill him!’ There was one day we were on set and were doing this scene that’s in the trailer where we’re all running to battle, you know, all of us are on set and it’s like forty superheroes.”

Well, it looks like there will be plenty of characters from all over the MCU to please fans. Only a few more days left until the movie comes out. Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27th, while Ant-Man and the Wasp bows a few months later on July 6th.
