‘Avengers: Doomsday’: The Four Trailer Plan And The Rumors Surrounding It

With the Avengers: Doomsday trailer(s) playing ahead of Avatar: Fire and Ash showings, many rumors are circulating in the MCU rumor mill. The latest buzz surrounding the trailer is that there won’t be just one, but four separate trailers that tease the next team-up of Earth’s mightiest heroes.

One of the major flaws in this plan, as ScreenRant points out, is that everyone won’t experience the trailers the same way now. To catch all four trailers, you will have to pay for tickets for Fire and Ash four separate times. A lot of people do not have the money, and with its 3-hour and 17-minute runtime, or the time to commit to seeing these trailers. Granted, you can simply buy tickets and leave after the trailer, but that is still a time-consuming effort.

Additionally, it should be expected that due to many people not having time and/or money to view all four trailers, they will begin to leak online. In fact, it has already begun. The first trailer has reportedly been leaked online, with rumors circulating that Chris Evans will return as Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. And there have been major rumors from other Marvel-based social media accounts that the four-trailer plan will focus on characters that appear in Doomsday.  Week one will apparently follow Steve Rodgers; Week two, Thor; Week three, Victor Von Doom; with week four being a full teaser of the entire film. However, these are still just rumors, as nothing has been confirmed yet.

This news has still caused quite a rift between fans. On one hand, Steve Rodgers was a fan favorite, so his return is still exciting. On the other hand, Chris Evans’s time as Steve Rogers has passed, as he got his ending with Peggy in Avengers: Endgame, and Anthony Mackie’s character Sam Wilson has become the new Captain America.

With all that said, more details will become clear as more people get to see the Doomsday trailer before watching Fire and Ash, which starts showing on Friday, the 19th.
