Artist Shares Reaction To Their Song Being In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’

Since 2014’s Guardians Of The Galaxy hit the scene, it’s been common knowledge that the music in those films is as important as the core plot itself. One could make the argument to consider it character in and of itself, and director James Gunn’s conclusion with the characters is no stranger to this concept. The lead singer of Florence + The Machine had a very special reaction to watching their song on the big screen.

The needle drops in each one of the movies is meticulously thought out, relating a lot to the themes that follow Star-Lord and his team, with the placement of this particluar song being the most potentially poignant of any of them. Many fans have praised the choice of music. With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 getting positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, the soundtrack to this one will be no different, boiling down to even the artists of the songs feeling the emotion packed into the story.

Each film has worked its way through some decades of music, with the latest one creeping into the present day, featuring songs from current talents, namely a song from the 2007 band Florence + The Machine. The song’s title and placement in the film will not be given due to any potential spoiler, but the lead singer, Florence Welch, has spoken about the song’s usage. Delighted and happy to see it, Welch said, “Thank you so much for all the love for this moment” on her personal TikTok post, and “the superhero-obsessed little girl in me can’t believe it happened.” Her reaction is as heartwarming as the writing for the scene itself.
