Arnold Schwarzenegger (Maggie) has attached himself to the latest script by Spanish writer Javier Gullon, entitled 478, according to Deadline. Schwarzenegger will play a man seeking vengeance on an air traffic controller in protective custody after Schwarzenegger’s wife and child died in an accident due to the controller’s screw-up.
Gullon wrote the script for Denis Villeneuve’s Enemy, which starred Jake Gyllenhaal (Prisoners) as a man who discovers his doppelganger.
Early reports are that this will be more of a character piece than standard revenge tale. Schwarzenegger recently received acclaim for his performance as a father protecting his zombie virus-infected daughter in Maggie. While this marks a change in the types of roles Schwarzenegger is known for, he does have a couple of sequels in the works, including Triplets – a sequel to Twins – and The Legend of Conan.
