Argentinian Filmmaker Santiago Mitre Signed For Representation With CAA

Filmmaker Santiago Mitre has signed with CAA for representation. The Argentinian writer and director recently won a Golden Globe for Best Non-English Language film with his latest work, Argentina, 1985.

The film follows a team of lawyers who work together to seek justice for the leaders of the Argentinian military dictatorship. The film is based on actual events and has a Lead Character, attorney Julio César Strassera, played by famous Argentinian actor Ricardo Darín. Mitre has worked with the actor before in The Summit (2017). Argentina, 1985 premiered at the 79th Venice Film Festival and has been shortlisted for a nomination at the Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film.

Mitre is known for previous titles such as Paulina (2015) and The Student (2011). The 42-year-old filmmaker has had a successful career so far, his work has been recognized by major film festivals such as Cannes, San Sebastián Film festival, Locarno Film Festival, Beijing Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival, and Havana Film Festival, among others. His work has won over 50 awards in total during his career.
