This time of year marks a very busy period for filmmakers as more festivals begin to ramp up. For one company in particular, however, it’s been busier than usual.
Production company Anonymous Content has several new films releasing soon, some of which have already or will premiere at a few festivals, such as Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, and Telluride Film Festival.
One of their Chief Content Officers, David Levine, spoke to Deadline about their busy release schedule. He said, “the thing that all of these projects represent is that they are all great work by the amazing filmmakers we are working with.”
Levine went on to add, as well, that instead of reacting in the moment to what comes up, they strive to look forward and structure their future endeavors.
One of their films slated for release is Occupation. Directed by Myroslav Slaboshpytskyi, Occupation follows a Ukrainian family who are forced to witness a war on their doorstep as an exploding conflict unfolds around them.
When talking about Occupation, Nick Shumaker, who also sat down alongside Levin with Deadline, spoke about the film. Shumaker spoke about what Occupation meant for the company, stating that they try to tell all kinds of stories from any kind of background.
