Angelina Jolie teams with Taylor Sheridan on ‘Those Who Wish Me Dead’

American actress and filmmaker Angelina Jolie, known for her roles in films such as Maleficent and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, will star in the upcoming film Those Who Wish Me Dead. It is drama written by American screenwriter, director, and actor Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water, Sicario) who will also direct the project in the spring.

The film will be based off of the Michael Koryta novel of the same name but stray a bit away from the original plot. The novel revolved around a teen in a witness protection program meant to protect him from two killers known as the Blackwell Brothers. These murderers will stop at nothing to get to the boy, who is in a wilderness survival program, while the many miles of mountains in Montana are set ablaze.

This will be Sheridan’s second time directing, with his debut being 2017’s Wind River, and another notch in the long filmography of veteran actress Jolie. It shall be produced by BRON Studios and Film Rites with shooting believed to begin in May. This story was first reported by Deadline.

Robert Thornson Jr.: My name is Robert and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of California Irvine. I am pursuing a B.A. in Film and Media studies with hopes to work in the creative industry. I have always had a passion for storytelling and since youth I've loved film. I grew up loving the movies of directors like Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, and many more along with writers such as Aaron Sorkin and Quentin Tarantino. One thing I have always done is write about movies and communicate to others information about the "film community" and the industry as well as about the films themselves. I write creatively on a daily basis.
