Andrew Scott And Kerry Washington Join The Cast of ‘Knives Out 3’

On May 28, Variety announced that Andrew Scott would join the cast in the third installment of the Knives Out series, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Today, it was announced that Kerry Washington would also be joining the cast. The two actors are the newest additions to the already established cast of Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, and the regular to the series, Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc.

 

The Knives Out installments are known for having well-known cast members. The first Knives Out came out in 2019 and featured stars such as Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Toni Collette. In 2022, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery was released and featured Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, and many more. According to Variety, the films have seen huge success with movie fans and have brought in over $320 million in revenue. 

 

Scott and Washington have seen major success in their careers. Scott is well known as The Priest from Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag and has recently starred in Andrew Haigh’s All of Us Strangers, alongside Paul Mescal. Washington is mostly known for her role as Broomhilda “Hildi” von Shaft in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained and has recently been in the show Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu. 

Rian Johnson will write and direct Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The film is set to release in 2025.
