After being criticized by some fans and Internet trolls due to her absence in Netfilx’s upcoming film Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, a sequel to the 90s TV show of the same name, Amy Jo Johnson, who originally played the pink Power Ranger has spoken out.
On March 26, 2023, Johnson addressed complaints from people who claimed that she didn’t reprise her role in the new film due to a lack of money offered to her. On Twitter, Johnson replied: “Please stop saying I didn’t do reunion because of money. Simply not true. Maybe I just didn’t want to wear spandex in my 50s or couldn’t go to NZ for a month.Or none of ur beeswax. [Jason David Frank] & I both chose not to for our own reasons. They filmed before he passed.”

Although Johnson and Frank will not be in the new film Blue Ranger David Yost, Black Ranger Walter E. Jones, and Red Ranger Steve Cardenas, will be reprising their roles.
In a later post, Johnson noted how excited she was to see her previous co-stars back in action.
