Alicia Keys has been confirmed to produce an untitled Netflix romantic comedy that will star singer and actress Christina Milian (Falling Inn Love), Jay Pharoah (Saturday Night Live), and Sinqua Walls (Otherhood, Teen Wolf).
Deadline first reported the news. Steven Tsuchida (Dear White People, Younger, On My Block) will direct from a script co-written by Stella Meghie, Dana Schmalenberg and Rheeqrheeq Chainey.
Exploring the ties of love and family, the film plot follows aspiring pop star, Erica, who ends up being booked as the entertainment at her ex-fiancé’s wedding in the midst of a music career meltdown. Despite trying to keep their past relationship a secret, especially from his fiancé, Erica finds her feelings for her ex, Jason, reignited.
