

Alex Garland is officially directing a film based on the critically acclaimed RPG Elden Ring. Alex Garland is now on his fifth collaboration with A24, with his previous projects being Ex Machina, Men, Civil War and Warfare. The Elden Ring film will be a collaboration between A24 and Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Elden Ring has sold over 30 million copies worldwide and received rave reviews upon release and even won Game of the Year in 2022. It is an action-RPG similar to games such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne with its combat. The game was praised for its addicting battle system, expansive world and environmental storytelling.
Alex Garland is currently writing and producing films in the 28 Days Later franchise. He wrote the original 28 Days Later back in 2002 and is now writing and producing 28 Years Later, which releases on June 20. The film is planned to turn into a new trilogy, with Alex Garland behind them. Elden Ring is expected to be Alex Garland’s next directorial venture, but it has no release window yet.
