Adrien Brody & Vera Farmiga to Star in Ant Timpson Thriller ‘The Salamander Lives Twice’

Come to Daddy director Ant Timpson is back with another mysterious thriller titled The Salamander Lives Twice, which will star Adrien Brody and Vera Farmiga.  

The film will follow Brody as an injured man with no memory and an impenetrable briefcase who is found on the shore of a remote island by a woman named Iris and her daughter Goggy, the last remaining members of a once prosperous family dynasty. Toby Harvard wrote the script with a story he and Timpson created. 

Harvard wrote Timpson’s last film, Come to Daddy, a 2019 horror comedy which starred Elijah Wood. It received high praise from critics, earning certified fresh critic score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes with 100 reviews. 

XYZ Films is handling the world sales of and co-repping domestic with CAA Media Finance at the 2020 American Film Market. 

Up in the Air star Farmiga recently starred in the third installment in the Annabelle film series, Annabelle Comes Home. Brody is most known for his work in The Pianist and his collaborations with director Wes Anderson, but the actor has had bit of experience with tense thrillers. In 2017 he starred alongside John Malkovich and Antonio Banderas in the crime thriller Bullet Head. He also played the lead role in the 2010 action film Predators.
