“He’s about to ruin a perfectly good divorce” is the tagline for Stu Zicherman’s directorial debut A.C.O.D. starring Parks and Recreation’s Adam Scott.
Stu Zicherman (Elektra), wrote the screenplay with Ben Karlin (The Daily Show, Modern Family). A.C.O.D. stars Adam Scott as a perfectly well-adjusted grown-up who finds out he was the subject of a psychological study of Children Of Divorce, and a psychiatrist, played by Jane Lynch (Glee), wants to do a follow up profile now that he is an Adult Child Of Divorce. He decides to participate in the study, but when his younger brother, played by Clarke Duke (Kick-Ass) decides to get married and bring his still feuding parents, Richard Jenkins (Killing Them Softly, Jack Reacher), and Catherine O’Hara (For Your Consideration, Best In Show) back together comedic problems arise. With Amy Poehler ( Baby Mama, Parks and Recreation) playing his father’s new wife, that’s not surprising.
Jessica Alba, Mary Elizabeth Winstead also star in this Black Bear Picture produced by Teddy Schwarzman. A.C.O.D. is in theaters October 4th.
