With the highly anticipated seventh episode of Star Wars officially less than a year away, news has surfaced on the three spinoff movies that are set to be released between each of the upcoming episodes. Aaron Paul is now reportedly attached to the first of these movies, which is set to focus on Han Solo’s life before the events of the original Star Wars trilogy.
Though there’s no official word as to what role Paul might play in this spinoff, readers can speculate freely, as this movie isn’t set for release until 2016, after Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens premieres next December. This spinoff is set to be directed by Godzilla’s Gareth Edwards. The other two spin-offs are rumored to focus on the lives of bounty hunter Boba Fett and Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi, though neither of these rumors have been confirmed.
Aaron Paul, best known for his role on AMC’s Breaking Bad, recently appeared in Exodus: Gods and Kings as Joshua. This Star Wars spinoff is scheduled for release some time in 2016, and the seventh episode will be released on December 18, 2015.
