A24’s ‘We Live In Time’ Sets Max Premiere Date

Warner Bros. Discovery announced that We Live In Time, A24’s acclaimed romance drama starring Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, will begin streaming exclusively on Max a week ahead of Valentine’s Day, on Friday, February 7. It will also debut on HBO on Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. ET. Released in the U.S. in October after premiering at the Toronto Film Festival, We Live In Time follows Almut (Pugh) and Tobias (Garfield) over 10 years, as they are brought together in a surprise encounter that changes their lives forever.

The film is a nonlinear tale, revealing different snapshots of Almut and Tobais’ life together including falling for each other, building their home, and becoming parents. However, a hard truth is revealed that rocks the foundation of their relationship. Now, accounting for how much time they may or may not have, they embark on an emotional path that allows them to learn to cherish each moment of the unorthodox path their love story went down.

In its theatrical run, the film grossed over $37 million worldwide. The film is directed by John Crowley from a script by Nick Payne. Adam Ackland, Leah Clarke, and Guy Heeley served as producers.

This is the latest A24 film to come to HBO and Max through A24’s exclusive multiyear pay-one output agreement with WBD. The agreement was signed in late 2023, following the expiration of the film studio’s deal with Showtime.
