Paramount Pictures has just released the final trailer for A Quiet Place Part II. The trailer opens prior to the events of the first film, as we see Lee Abbot (John Krazinski) grocery shopping in the same store that was shown in the previous film. As he reaches the checkout, it is clear that trouble is brewing, as news reports of the invasion are shown playing on the television.
A Quiet Place is set in a world where humans are to live in silence to avoid the blind monstrous creatures, who have an impeccable hearing ability. At the end of the first film Lee Abbot sacrifices himself for the survival of his family.
The trailer for the sequel then shows the remaining Abbots seeking shelter after the events of the first film. They are continuing to survive in this apocalyptic world, coming into contact with other survivors, who may not be all that they seem to be.
A Quiet Place Part II was one of many films to be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with its initial release date set at March of 2020. Following many delays, the film moved around from September 2020, to April 2021, then to September 2021. The final change has the film set for release in May of 2021, later this month, with a Paramount Plus release scheduled for 45 days after it’s theatrical release.
A Quiet Place Part II is written and directed by John Krazinski. The film stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmons, Cillian Murphy, Noah Jupe, and Djimon Hounsou. The film will be released in theaters on May 28.
