Miles Morales is looking to take the spotlight one last time. As we are coming up on the finale of the infamous Marvel trilogy, we have gained a first look at Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse, as well as new images that share insight into the new and returning characters. Recently in Las Vegas, Sony debuted the opening of the 2027 Marvel film at CinemaCon. Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and a few other film moguls were there to present the highly anticipated project to the audience.
In the short opening that was shown, we see a scene in which Miles is knocked out by the Prowler to then later wake up to his uncle. In the same scene, we see a conversation that leads to Miles meeting his alternative self, the Prowler. It follows with a reminiscent, but still action-packed, montage that ends the opening with a cut to the Spider-Man logo. As many fans are sad to see the franchise end, it will continue to thrive in other forms, with animated and live-action projects on the horizon for Spider-Man.
Tom Hollands’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day was also present as CinemaCon this year. As for the live-action project, Sony Pictures Television will have Nicolas Cage leading the story in the upcoming live-action TV show, Spider-Noir.
