’28 Years Later’ Teaser Released

The first teaser for the film 28 Years Later has been released by Sony. The teaser is fairly difficult to interpret. It is largely a black screen with flashes of images appearing for less than a second. In the teaser, we briefly see a large island connected to the mainland by a land bridge. We also see some flashes of red skulls and red contamination symbols.

The studio is very mysterious when it comes to the film. There is no title or description on the video itself, but it was posted by the official X account 28 Years Later. People have hypothesized which island appears in the trailer. Many agree that it appears to be the island of Lindisfarne in Northumberland.

Cillian Murphy will reprise his role from the original film 28 Days Later. He will be joined by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman, and Edvin Ryding for this installment in the franchise.

Here is the official description of the film: “Sometime after the events of 28 Weeks Later, the Rage Virus has returned, and a group of survivors must survive in a world ravaged by hordes of the infected.”

The film is being shot back-to-back with its follow-up, 28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple. It is set to release June 20th.
