The continuation of 28 Years Later draws closer. A new trailer has been released for the next chapter in the iconic horror series, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.
The undead are no longer the biggest threat to survival in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, as shifting dynamics with a small group of survivors begins to dictate the fate of the world. A press release from Sony reveals that Dr. Kelson and the young Spike both find themselves in similarly dangerous yet highly sensitive situations, forcing them to take survival into their own hands.
Ralph Fiennes and Alfie Williams both reprise their roles from 28 Years, as Dr. Kelson and Spike respectively. Other returning cast members include Jack O’Connell, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chi Lewis-Parry, Erin Kellyman, and Emma Laird.
Although Danny Boyle, responsible for the original 28 Days Later, directed 28 Years and will helm the third part, he’s not taking point on The Bone Temple. Filling his shoes will be Nia DeCosta, who’s no stranger to horror. She directed the 2021 remake of Candyman, as well as being a co-writer on the script. Other directorial credits include Hedda and The Marvels.
Although Boyle is not directing Bone Temple, he is sticking around as a producer alongside Alex Garland. Once again Garland will pen the screenplay, akin to 28 Days and 28 Years.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple hits theaters January 16th. Check out the trailer below.
