20th Century Studios Releases New Trailer for Musical Biopic ‘Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere’ Online

20th Century Studios has released a new trailer for the upcoming musical biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere online. Based on the book Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska by Warren Zanes, and starring The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White, the film follows the young Bruce Springsteen as he works on his 1982 album Nebraska, on the brink of global superstardom. Recorded on a 4-track recorder in his New Jersey bedroom, the album came at a pivotal time in his life when he was balancing fame with the personal demons of his past, and would eventually be considered one of his most enduring.

Premiering at this year’s Telluride Film Festival, the project has already garnered critical praise, currently sitting at a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Springsteen himself, who previously turned down multiple offers to do a film about his life, also praised the production:

“I’m so appreciative of Jeremy Allen White and the entire cast for their wonderful and moving performances—and Scott Cooper, one of the most generous collaborators I’ve ever worked with.”

Cooper, who wrote and directed the production, discussed his take on the story, which won the reluctant Springsteen over:

Nebraska is where Bruce chose truth over expectation—a choice that still reverberates through everything he’s written since. At that crossroads, he could have chased the bright lights and the roar of arenas, but instead, he turned inward, armed only with silence, a four-track recorder, and the courage to confront himself…the most vulnerable chapter of his life…”

Along with White, the drama also stars Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s long-time friend and manager, Jon Landau; Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan; Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Doug; Odessa Young as Bruce’s love interest, Faye; Gaby Hoffman as Springsteen’s mom, Adele; Marc Maron as Chuck Plotkin; and David Krumholtz as Columbia executive, Al Teller.

The film is produced by Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson, and Scott Stuber, with Tracey Landon, Jon F. Vein, and Zanes executive producing.

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere is scheduled for release on October 24, 2025.
