The official trailer for Sam Raimi’s new feature, Send Help, starring Rachel McAdams (Spotlight) and Dylan O’Brien (Twinless) has been released. The trailer consisted of Linda Liddle, played by McAdams, and Bradley Preston, portrayed by O’Brien, two co-workers who “find themselves stranded on a deserted island after they are the only survivors of a plane crash.” Now, the two “must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it is an unsettling and darkly humorous battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.”
The script was written by duo Mark Swift and Damian Shannon (Freddy vs. Jason) and produced by Raimi and Zainab Azizi (65) while being executively produced by JJ Hook (The Amateur). An original score was composed by Danny Elfman (Edward Scissorhands) for the feature as well. The rest of the ensemble is made up of Edyll Ismail (La Brea), Dennis Haysbert (Far From Heaven), Xavier Samuel (Blonde), Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians), Thaneth Warakulnukroh (Pop aye), and Emma Raimi (Happy Pills).
Raimi, in the press release statement of the official trailer debut via 20th Century Studios, said about the film,
“I’ve always loved stories where interesting dynamic characters are pushed to extremes. In our story, the power shifts create an escalating situation that’s brimming with unexpected turns and suspense.”
Send Help is set to release in theaters nationwide on January 30th, 2026.
