2026 Cinema Audio Society Awards Winners Revealed

The winners for the 2026 Cinema Audio Society Awards have been revealed. The awards ceremony celebrates achievements in sound mixing from films released in 2025.

This year’s winners include F1, KPop Demon Hunters, and Becoming Led Zeppelin. F1 took home the award for Achievement in Sound Mixing in a Live-Action Feature, KPop Demon Hunters won Achievement in Sound Mixing in an Animated Feature, and Becoming Led Zeppelin won Achievement in Sound Mixing in a Documentary Feature.

The Cinema Audio Society’s president, Peter Kurland, had this to say in a statement:

“Tonight we celebrate the very best of our profession. Sound mixing demands both technical skill and artistic intent, and these honorees exemplify the precision, creativity, and discipline that define our craft. We are proud to recognize professionals whose dedication and excellence continue to elevate the standard for our industry.”

Out of the winners, the one to keep the closest eye on is F1, which is also nominated for Best Sound at this year’s Academy Awards. In the past, there has been evidence that winners of these specialty technical Awards are more likely to go on to win the Oscar in the same category. For the Sound category in particular, that hasn’t been the case the past couple of years. Last year, the CAS awarded A Complete Unknown, while the Oscar for Best Sound went to Dune: Part Two. The year before that, the CAS awarded Oppenheimer, while the Oscar for Best Sound went to The Zone of Interest.
