2025 Razzie Awards Nominations Include ‘Joker 2’, ‘Borderlands’, ‘Megalopolis’

The Razzies, or the Golden Raspberry Awards, is an annual awards ceremony celebrating the worst in film over the past year. This year, Joker: Folie à Deux tops the list with 7 nominations. Close behind it lies films such as Borderlands, Madame Web, Megalopolis, and Reagan, each with 6 nominations. The other films with multiple nominations include Unfrosted, Kraven the Hunter, Argylle,and The Crow.

For their “Worst Picture” category, they nominated Joker: Folie à Deux, Borderlands, Madame Web, Megalopolis, and Reagan. For their acting categories, a notable standout is Jon Voight. He was nominated for 4 films he acted in this year, those being Megalopolis, Reagan, Shadow Land and Strangers. Other actors who received multiple shouts are Ariana DeBose for Argylle and Kraven the Hunter, Jack Black, Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga and Dennis Quaid.

Aside from the usual categories, the Razzies include a “Worst Screen Combo” category, which recognizes the worst pairing of actors on screen. Aside from the predictable Joaquin Phoenix with Lady Gaga and Dennis Quaid with Penelope Ann Miller for Reagan, they also got creative with a few. Any two unfunny “comedic actors” were picked for Unfrosted, any two characters from Borderlands (with a special shout-out to Jack Black), and the entire cast of Megalopolis.

The Razzies nominees were chosen by over 1,000 Razzie members made up of critics, journalists, and movie buffs. The organizers stated that the winner of Worst Picture would receive a “$4.97 gold spray-painted” statuette. The Razzies will be revealed through a video press release on March 1, the day before the Oscars.
