Before we celebrate the finest cinematic achievements of the last year, we must throw some tomatoes at the worst. As tradition dictates, the 36th Razzie Awards took place on the eve of the Academy Awards. The Razzies, of course, honor (or dishonor rather) the worst movies of the calendar year. As such, Fifty Shades of Grey ended up the biggest loser of the evening, earning five mentions including the dubious achievement of Worst Picture of the Year (which the erotic sudser tied with Fantastic Four).
While some truly terrible features earned rightful mud in the faces, it wasn’t all doom and gloom as Oscar frontrunner Sylvester Stallone received the Razzie Redeemer Award, an acknowledgement of course correction from a former Razzie mainstay. Full list of losers below:
