Ahead of the highly anticipated Robert Eggers film Nosferatu, Focus Features has unveiled a detailed replica of Nosferatu’s iconic resting place, retailing at a cool $20,000. With this expensive but unique novelty item, fans can finally experience what it is like to sleep in the same place as the insufferable one, Nosferatu.
The description for the bed reads, “Hand crafted from premium materials including a wooden base with intricate carvings. These highly collectible Sarcophagi also feature a distinctive interior with a custom-fit mattress and foam lid for easy opening at sundown.” The bed is 250 pounds and over 8 feet long, meaning it is large enough for almost anyone brave to spend a night enclosed in a coffin. Unfortunately, the bed will not be able to be shipped before Christmas, so do not expect this to be wrapped up under the tree.
Nosferatu, the chilling reimagining of the 1922 classic, is directed by Robert Eggers, well known for The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman. In the film, the terrifying Count Orlok, or Nosferatu, haunts a young woman after he purchases a house in 19th-century Germany. The film stars Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin and Ralph Ineson.
Nosferatu lands in theaters on Christmas Day.
