NBC is getting in on the streaming service game with their new platform Peacock, set for launch on July 15, 2020. Along with many beloved NBC programs such as The Office and Friends, there will also be certain movies available to watch on the Comcast-owned service. Here’s ten movies you’ll be able to watch on Peacock later this month:
- Jurassic Park: directed by Steven Spielberg and based on the book by Michael Crichton, this classic ’90s family movie tells the tale of a paleontologist as he and his paleobotanist girlfriend are whisked to the island of Isla Nublar by eccentric industrialist John Hammond, who has managed to recreate dinosaurs from preserved DNA and has built a theme park to display his creations. When the humans lose control of the dinosaurs, Jurassic Park turns from a fun vacation spot to deadly arena.
- The Matrix: a hacker who goes by the screen name “Neo” is contacted by a mysterious man called Morpheus who shows him that the reality he knows is a simulation run by machines. It’s up to Neo to awaken the human race from their simulation and show them the truth. Starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, and Hugo Weaving; directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski.
- Shrek: a computer animated film that takes a humorous spin on the fairy tale genre. In order to take back his swamp, the misanthropic ogre Shrek, along with his annoying sidekick Donkey, is hired by the villainous Lord Farquaad to rescue the beautiful Princess Fiona from a tower guarded by a fiery dragon. Starring Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and John Lithgow.

He revels in the violent deaths of his colleagues and the women he has sex with. Bateman carries on his murder spree under the nose of Detective Kimball (Willem Dafoe), all while maintaining his upper class, New York lifestyle.
- The Mummy: a remake of a 1932 horror film, Egyptologist Evelyn Carnahan (Rachel Weisz) and her brother Jonathan (John Hannah) hire adventurer Rick O’Connell (Brendan Fraser) to guide them to Hamunaptra, the ancient City of the Dead, where Evelyn comes across the sarcophagus of Imhotep and accidentally releases his spirit, and a dreaded curse.
