Weekly Trailer Roundup – 10/20/14 Thru 10/26/14

Welcome to the Weekly Trailer Roundup, where we count down the top five trailers released in the past week, “top” being defined any way we want to at the moment…exciting, ridiculous, best, worst…

These are the trailers that, for one reason or another, you should be paying attention to.

Look, we’re not going to be coy here. There was one trailer, and one trailer alone, that sucked up all the headlines this week. A look at a movie the fanboys have been clamoring for for months. So without further ado . .

#5 – Madea’s Tough Love

. . . here it is! Yes, the rumors were true – Madea is back, and this time she’s animated.

No, that wasn’t it? Perhaps . .

#4 – Insidious 3

Insidious 3: Even More Insidiouser! Sure, Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne aren’t around this time, but the dude from My Best Friend’s Wedding looks amazing.

Not that one either, huh? Fine . . .

#3 – The Woman in Black: Angel of Death

Is it a bad sign that neither the director or any of the actors – or the studio for that matter – of the original are back for this sequel? Nah, probably not.

#2 – Old Fashioned

Alright, enough joking around. We know what you came here to see. The trailer that practically brought the internet to a standstill. Famed multi-hyphenate Rik Swartzwelder finally meets up on screen with mega-star Elizabeth Roberts, in this faith-based romantic-comedy tentpole.

#1 – Avengers: Age of Ulton

In other news, and because we like to support indie filmmaking, upstart studio Disney and their struggling partner, Marvel, quietly released a trailer for this new low-budget, direct-to-video feature. Cheap-looking pyrotechnics and a lack of name actors aside, this one looks like it has a chance of catching on with a wider audience.
