By this time next week, the first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 will be hitting theaters in the United States. Since its debut in 2017, one could argue that Wonder Woman, headed by actress Gal Gadot, was Warner Bros’ first successful entry in the DCEU and the first good, non-controversial post-Nolan DC film. The film was not only successful financially, but also historic for being the first female led superhero film. Despite several hiccups regarding the break-up of two-thirds of the big three in Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, Gadot remains left in the franchise with a sequel pushed back till next year.
Not much was spoiled for fans during Comic-Con this past year, but fortunately director Patty Jenkins has finally hinted when the first trailer will take place.
So excited to bring #WW84 to the fans in Brazil! And the world!! Tune in, and see you soon #CCXP! #DayOfWonder #Finally!! pic.twitter.com/wrwTpozXZo

From the above post Jenkins tweeted a photo of the upcoming Comic-Con event in Brazil, which shows Gal Gadot in in her Wonder Woman ensemble. This implies a strong indication that the first trailer will be coming soon. Principal photography wrapped up recently, with reports of that small footage was also shown privately at CinemaCon indicating that Wonder Woman 1984 is a finished product. While fans are left to wonder what this means for the future of Gal as Princess Diana, we should be delighted to know that the sequel is on its way very soon.
Wonder Woman 1984 will be released in theaters on June 5, 2020
