Uriah Shelton will join the cast of an upcoming untitled Blumhouse body swap film starring Kathryn Newton and Vince Vaughn, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Coming off the heels of Hulu’s Looking For Alaska, based on the book by John Green, Shelton finds himself in a horror picture devised by Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon which follows the moments of a young girl played by Newton who switches bodies with a menacing serial killer. She then discovesr that she has approximately less than 24 hours before the swap becomes permanently set.
Shelton is reportedly playing the role of a character named Booker, who will serve as the film’s love interest. Landon is also responsible for writing the screenplay alongside Michael Kennedy and Jason Blum will respectively produce in association with the Divide/Conquer Banner.
Outside of Looking For Alaska, Shelton has also appeared in TV shows like Girl Meets World and 13 Reasons Why. Other works of Shelton include Without a Trace, The Ghost Whisperer, Mad TV, Dirty Sexy Money, The Suite Life, Monk, Trust Me, Trauma, The Nanny Express, Lifted, and an independent film entitled Alabama Moon. The actor is currently represented by Innovative Artists, Treadwell Entertainment Group, and Felker Toczek.
