Flula Borg is the newest addition to the DC Cinematic Universe, as the actor has officially been cast in James Gunn’s adaptation of The Suicide Squad, according to Deadline. Borg’s role in the film is reportedly undisclosed with the exception of a minuscule detail that he will be portraying a love interest to one of the characters.
Borg joins a beefy ensemble consisting of returning castmembers Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman as well as three new acquisitions including Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian, and Daniela Melchior.
Gunn is responsible for compiling the script of The Suicide Squad with Chuck Roven and Peter Safran manning the film’s production.
Borg has starred in a plethora of films, including Pitch Perfect 2, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip as well as showcasing his unique vocality in Blue Sky Studio’s Ferdinand, Disney’s Wreck-It-Ralph Breaks the Internet, and Dreamworks Animation’s pending Trolls World Tour expected to release on April 17th, 2020. Borg will also be featured in the upcoming film Judy Small starring Haley Joel Osment and Alicia Silverstone.
Television-wise, Borg has appeared on The Good Place, Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Boss Baby: Back In Business.
Borg is represented by UTA, Brillstein Entertainment.
