With the recent news of the Rocko’s Modern Life Netflix film finally getting a release date, many Nickelodeon fans have been wondering about the release of Nickelodeon’s other classic series’ film adaptation. The Nickelodeon cult TV show, Invader Zim, will also be receiving a film coming out in August titled Enter the Florpus. The film will be released on Netflix on August 16th, 2019.
The series, which follows an Alien who comes to Earth to research it in preparation for his leaders to help take over, is incredibly well known for its dark and crude sense of humor. The series only lasted for about a year on Nickelodeon due to poor ratings but since then the show has received a major cult following, with many fans citing it as one of Nickelodeon’s best cartoons. The new movie is meant to be a continuation and proper finale to the original short lived TV show.
Not only was a release date announced but a new short trailer was released for the film. Zim is seen inside a bathroom stall with his robotic side kick Gir as he’s just maniacally laughing as he usually does. The trailer may not have shown too much new footage of the film, but it still gets the idea across that Zim is back and with a vengeance. Thankfully fans will not have to wait any longer with this film on the horizon very soon.
Invader Zim: Into the Florpus is set for release on August 16th, 2019 on Netflix.
