Chace Crawford will be featured in the upcoming indie thriller, Inheritance, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actor, known for his role in Gossip Girl, will be starring alongside Lily Collins, Simon Pegg, Connie Nielsen, and Patrick Warburton. Vaughn Stein, who is known for his work on World War Z and Terminal, will be directing the film.
The film centers on a mother (Collins) who is left with an envelope from her father who recently passed away. She discovers directions to a cabin within the envelope, leading her to an imprisoned man. After the discovery, the plot gains momentum with the revelation of secrets that may destroy the mother’s life along with the lives of other individuals. Collins assumed her role after actress Kate Mara encountered scheduling issues. Crawford will be playing her brother in the film. In order to star in his role, Pegg had to undergo six months of training to achieve a specific body type.
Crawford starred in an indie film before, Undrafted, as well as the series, Blood & Oil. He has been busy with his roles in The Boys, an Amazon drama, and Charlie Says, a drama about Charles Manson.
