Do we ever grow up? Sure, many of us graduate from college, become involved in our career, settle down and have a family, and at times we forget just how good we had it when we were kids. The amazing and uplifting story of Josh, a teenager who just wants to be “big,” and not so small anymore, gets his wish granted and wakes up to realize that he’s a thirty-year old man (played in a Oscar nominated performance by Tom Hanks). The supporting cast includes Elizabeth Perkins (Ghostbusters), Robert Loggia (The Sopranos), John Heard (Home Alone) and not to forget Josh’s best friend, played by Jared Rushton.
Directed by Penny Marshall (A League of Their Own) and written by Gary Ross (Ocean’s 8) and Anne Spielberg, Big would become an inspiration of other like-minded films such as Like Father Like Son, 17 Again and the female version 13 Going on 30! Fathom Events and Turner Classic Movies are bringing this classic ’80s comedy back to big screen for all generations to experience the amazement of being a kid and the complicated life ahead when being an adult.
Big returns for a special two-day event on Sunday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 18! Get your tickets now and don’t miss all the fun!
