The 1977 Dario Argento and Daria Nicolodi horror feature Suspiria will be given a new spin by Oscar-nominated Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino.
The original Suspiria, which has become a cult classic, is still remarkable for its unique score by prog-rock band Goblin (being reimagined in the 2018 version by Radiohead’s Thom Yorke) and its bizarre, jarring, and vibrantly colorful visuals.
The reboot cast includes Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf, and Jessica Harper – the star of the 1977 version. Johnson takes on the role of a young American dancer who joins a world-renowned troupe led by Tilda Swinton in the role of the artistic director – and becomes embroiled in a horrific nightmare alongside a psychotherapist played by Ebersdorf.
Suspiria, distributed by Amazon Studios, hits theaters November 2.
