The Irish, Zombie, Horror film, The Cured, is bringing a fresh feeling to dystopian terror. Ellen Page stars as a journalist who has lost her husband to an infectious epidemic and, after her brother-in-law is “cured” of the disease, she takes him in to live with she and her son. Peter Campion (Brooklyn) also stars.

The film premiered last year at the Toronto Film Festival and has since made its rounds to London, Stockholm, and Torino.

Written and directed by David Freyne, the IFC Film will open in theaters and VOD February 23.
