After the smash hit Deadpool came out in 2016, fans have been clamoring for more of Ryan Reynolds’ portrayal of Wade Wilson. Audiences have also hoped for one of Marvel’s most fascinating characters from the comics, one connected pretty famously to Deadpool: Cable, also known as Nathan Summers, the son of Scott Summers and a clone of Jean Grey known as Madelyn Pryor.
While the anticipation for the sequel has been building for a while, many have been curious about how the movie will handle Cable. As of now, fans will finally get to see what the character looks like! Ryan Reynolds, who is deeply involved with the making of Deadpool films (with perhaps the exception of X-Men Origins: Wolverine), tweeted out a picture of Cable’s appearance in the film, which can be viewed below.

Cable will be played by Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men). Brolin will be joining newcomers Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) and Shioli Kutsuna (While the Women Are Sleeping), along with returning actors like Morena Baccarin (Gotham), Brianna Hildebrand (First Girl I Loved), Stefan Kapicic (Big Miracle), and Leslie Uggams (Empire).
Deadpool 2 is currently still in the filming stage, but audiences have less than a year to wait until they can see the movie. It will appear in theaters on June 1, 2018.
