William Moseley (Chronicles of Narnia), who can be seen in the upcoming E Network’s The Royals, stars as Daniel Lombardi in Simone Bartesaghi’s 3D indie action-crime thriller Run, just acquired by Millennium Entertainment for U.S. Distribution.
Daniel is a parkour enthusiast, a form of military training developed in France by David Belle that aims to quickly overcome obstacles in your environment by free-running, climbing, jumping, swinging, and vaulting. His petty criminal father, played by Adrian Pasdar (Heroes, The Lying Game), convinces Daniel to use his free-running skills and become his partner in crime. Daniel”s new girlfriend Kelsey Chow (The Amazing Spider-Man) doesn’t approve, and pressure from his Dad’s enemies – Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight, The Expendables) and Edoardo Ballerini (Boardwalk Empire) could prove fatal.
Writer-director Simone Bartesaghi was so inspired by the sport of parkour that he quit his managing job and wrote Run, for which he received the Milan International Film Festival’s Award for Best Screenplay and LA’s 3D Film Festival Award for Best New Director. Adrian Pasdar picked up a Milan IFF Award for Best Supporting actor for his part in the film.
Run was produced by Aimee Schoof and Isen Robbins of Intrinsic Value Films and Dorothy and J. Zakira of Spinning Owls Productions. It will premiere in the U.S. in 2014.
