We Are Still Here, a haunted house horror film, has a trailer introducing the setting and premise for its scares. In it, a family moves into an old New England home that used to be a funeral parlor. The previous owners used to sell dead bodies to local Chinese restaurants to be cut up for Chop Suey, with the house itself under a curse that strikes every 30 years. “You guys have moved into one weird, f****ing town,” quips a local.
Ted Geoghegan wrote and directed We Are Still Here, with Barbara Crampton (You’re Next) and Lisa Marie (Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Mars Attacks!) in starring roles, and Travis Stevens (Cheap Trills, Starry Eyes) producing. The trailer promises a fiery monster capable of burning and butchering victims, leaving pools of blood in its wake. No matter what anyone does, the monster will not stop its rampage until it is satisfied. We Are Still Here will premiere at the SXSW festival as part of the midnighters selection of movies.
