I studied cinema and economics at USC and USF. I have worked in several jobs and internships in entertainment. I have interned at a production company and a literary agency also. I have worked as a production assistant, at theaters, and theme parks.
I am a fan of DC Comics. Superman first appeared in Action Comics #1 in 1938 and was made by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. I have read a bunch of the old Superman comics and action comics. In these there are many first appearances of major characters and villains. Some of my favorite Superman graphic novels are “All Star Superman” and “Superman Red Son”.
Superman’s alter ego is Clark Kent who works at the Daily Planet and likes Lois Lane. He can fly, has super strength, and super speed. His arch nemesis is Lex Luthor. Some other villains he fought are Zod and Bizarro Superman. One of his weaknesses is kryptonite. He grew up on a farm and was raised by the Kents.
Christopher Reeve Superman Films
There are a bunch of “Superman” films starring Christopher Reeve. These ones are classics. The John Williams soundtrack is good too.I saw Richard Donner in person, he directed “Superman”. The earlier ones are great, I found the later ones sort of cheesy.
Superman 1978
An alien orphan is sent from his dying planet to Earth, where he grows up to become his adoptive home’s first and greatest superhero.(IMDb) This is a classic film with a great soundtrack. Lex Luthor is a villain in this film. The superhero said “I’m here to fight for truth, justice, and the American way.”
Superman II 1980
Superman agrees to sacrifice his powers to start a relationship with Lois Lane, unaware that three Kryptonian criminals he inadvertently released are conquering Earth. (IMDb) Zod is a villain in this film.
Superman III 1983
Entrepreneur Ross Webster teams up with a computer genius in order to realise his own evil intentions. When Superman obstructs his plans, he decides to destroy him. (IMDb)
“Superman IV: The Quest For Peace” 1987
With the world on the brink of a nuclear war, Superman takes it upon himself to destroy all nuclear weapons. However, Lex Luthor creates Nuclear Man, a force strong enough to take down Superman. (IMDb)
Brandon Ruth Superman film
Brian Singer made the film “Superman Returns” starring Brandon Ruth in 2006. This was after 20 years without Superman films In this film “Superman returns to Earth after spending five years in space examining his homeworld Krypton. But he finds things have changed while he was gone, and he must once again prove himself important to the world.” (IMDb)
Henry Cavill Superman Films
Man of Steel
“An alien child is evacuated from his dying world and sent to Earth to live among humans. His peace is threatened when other survivors of his home planet invade Earth.” (IMDb) Zack Snyder made “Man of Steel” with Henry Cavill, Christopher Nolan collaborated with him on the project.
Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice
Batman is manipulated by Lex Luthor to fear Superman. Superman´s existence is meanwhile dividing the world and he is framed for murder during an international crisis. The heroes clash and force the neutral Wonder Woman to reemerge. (IMDb) Henry Cavill was in this film too. Ben Affleck played Batman in this movie. This film was based on “The Dark Knight Returns”.
“Justice League”
Steppenwolf and his Parademons return after eons to capture Earth. However, Batman seeks the help of Wonder Woman to recruit and assemble Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman to fight the powerful new enemy. (IMDb) Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck were in this project too. There was a show called this too.
James Gunn Films
“Superman” (2025)
James Gunn made another film called “Superman” starring David Corenswet. Lex Luthor was also a character in this movie. Krypto the superdog was in the movie. “Superman must reconcile his alien Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as reporter Clark Kent. As the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way he soon finds himself in a world that views these as old-fashioned.” (IMDb) I liked the fortress of solitude in this movie. Henry Cavill wrote a letter to the lead actor in this film for support andd encouragement. See the trailer below:

“Supergirl” (2026)
This led to the film “Supergirl”. “Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, joins forces with an unlikely companion on an interstellar journey of vengeance and justice when an unexpected adversary strikes too close to home.” (IMDb) This character appeared in “Superman” (2025). See the trailer below: The lead actress’s cape was made using the cape from the 1978 film “Superman”. I haven’t seen this new movie yet, but I look forward to watching it.

Man of Tomorrow” (2027)
“A new threat arrives that requires Superman and Lex Luthor to work together to overcome it.” (IMDb) This will be a sequel to “Superman” (2025) There is not a trailer yet for this film. Braniac is planned to appear in this new film. Nicholas Holt will play Lex Luthor again. Also Skyler Gisondro will play Jimmy Olsen again. Man of Tomorrow will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in the USA on 07/09/27. It will be part of DCU’s Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters.
I enjoy the old Superman films the best. The new ones are good too. I think Supergirl and Krypto might appear in this new movie again. The director is doing a good job at making these new films. I look forward to seeing this new film. I think the Matt Reeves film “The Batman” was good too. I am anticipating seeing the new movie “The Batman Part II”. I anticipate seeing what they do next with the DC Universe film franchise.
