The Daniels’ highly anticipated next film is continuing to take shape with four new additions to its growing ensemble. According to Deadline, Silvia Dionicio, Jackson Kelly, Kerrice Brooks, and Thalia Dudek have officially joined the cast of the Oscar-winning filmmakers’ untitled event movie for Universal Pictures.
As has been the case since the project was announced, the studio is keeping every detail concealed, including the plot and the characters each actor will portray.
The newcomers join an impressive lineup that already includes Matt Damon, Sandra Oh, Charles Melton, Sean Kaufman, and Michael Gandolfini. Deadline reports that Damon is set to lead the film, while Kaufman is expected to play a significant role among a younger group of characters. Although little is known about the story itself, the steadily expanding cast has only fueled excitement for what Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert have planned next. The filmmaking duo earned widespread acclaim for their unique storytelling style, and fans are eager to see how they follow up their last feature.
Deadline also noted that each of the newly announced cast members has been building momentum in Hollywood. Dionicio recently appeared in Goons, while Kelly is known for The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey. Brooks has appeared in Power Book III: Raising Kanan and How to Die Alone, and Dudek has recently been seen in The Better Sister and FBI: Most Wanted. The untitled film marks the Daniels’ first project under their overall deal with Universal following the success of Everything Everywhere All at Once, and it is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 19, 2027.
