

Henry Cavill and Kevin Hart are set to team up in Netflix’s upcoming spy-action comedy, directed by McG, known for works such as 2017’s The Babysitter and 2023’s Family Switch. The untitled feature is based on a short story and will center on two enemy spies who come face to face during a Lamaze class, where their wives become friends. Deadline describes the plot,
Their double lives subsequently collide in unexpectedly hilarious and dangerous ways, forcing the two men to reluctantly become confidantes and partners on the road to fatherhood.
Cavill has been confirmed to play one of the spies, while Hart’s role has not yet been disclosed. The script will be penned by Adam and Aaron Nee, the writing duo behind this year’s Masters of the Universe. Hart will be producing under his Hartbeat banner alongside Luke Kelly-Clyne and Bryan Smiley. Ryan Reynolds will produce with Patrick Gooing and George Dewey for Maximum Effort. Shawn Levy will also produce with Dan Levine and Emily Morris under the banner of 21 Laps. The former Superman was most recently seen starring opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in Guy Ritchie’s action thriller In the Grey. His upcoming projects include Netflix’s Enola Holmes 3, set for release in July; the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Voltron as King Alfor; and Amazon’s rebooted Highlander film.
