It looks like Jessica Rothe is taking another stab at horror.
If you loved her in the Happy Death Day franchise, then you what Rothe can bring to the table within the horror genre. Rothe is set to star in the upcoming horror film, Affection, that is to be released at the end of May. If you thought her past horror roles were scary, after viewing the trailer we suggest you buckle up for this next one.
The film tells the story of Rothe’s character Ellie. From the chilling trailer, we see Ellie taken into the middle of nowhere, where she will essentially need to figure out the entirety of her life before and leading up to this. Ellie has a condition that has harmed her ability to remember, leaving the perfect storm for anyone to switch that up, including a man that is claiming to be her husband. While the film seems to layout a puzzle for the audience to figure out Ellie’s timeline, at some point, everything blends together. Or seems to.
With BT Meza as writer and director, we also have Joseph Cross and Julianna Layne joining Rothe onscreen.
While Rothe isn’t new to keeping you on the edge of your seat, you can see her do it again as Ellie this May.
