Thank you so much for joining us for our live coverage of the Oscars here at mxdwn. We hope you’re just as excited as we are to see it who prevails, who will be scored, and who will be snubbed. The festivities start to get underway as the red carpet is rolled out and the stars receiving their coveted awards arrive with their guests.
4 pm PST/7 pm EST: The show begins!
4:25 pm PST/7:25 pm EST: Talk is already swirling about possible sweeps between heavy hitters Sinners and One Battle After Another
4:27 pm PST/7:27 pm EST: The outfits this year are dazzling as always, and it looks like every A-lister has pulled all the stops to be the most glamorous tonight.
4:27 pm PST/7:27 pm EST: Look at those fits, the stars are rocking some drip tonight. Okay, we’ll stop talking in teenager now.
4:35 pm PST/7:35 pm EST: Elle Fanning is nominated for her first time, but attended as a guest last year. Up for best lead actress in Sentimental Value, best of luck, Fanning!
4:38 pm PST/7:38 pm EST: Ooooh, there’s a giveaway raffle for watch party invites for next year.
4:38 pm PST/7:38 pm EST: Chelsea Wheatly gives special thanks to the Tonga people, whose lands the Oscars are being hosted on. We are very proud to show our thanks as well here at mxdwn.

4:46 pm PST/7:46 pm EST: Wooo! 14 more minutes until winners start being crowned! Hopefully, a few from Sinners, we would like to make puns! Though we will continue to remain professional.
4:50 pm PST/7:50 pm EST: Wonder what local ads everyone is seeing in their corners of the world. This is like the fourth lobster ad here.
4:50 pm PST/7:50 pm EST: Nicole Kidman! Ms. AMC ‘We come to this place’ herself! She’s going to be in the upcoming Margos Got Money Troubles, we never finished that book we should.
4:51 pm PST/7:51 pm EST: The voices of Kpop Demon Hunters Huntrix are making gold puns and sporting the fabulous color themselves already. Best girls rooting for a win, go Huntrix!
4:55 pm PST/7:55 pm EST: Red carpet closed and our boy Conan back at it again with the hosting, we’re screaming in anticipation or not, allergies have taken our voice, leaving us sounding eerily like Gollum after a 12-pack of cigarettes. Good thing we’re not on the carpet ourselves, ha.
5:00 pm PST/8:00 pm EST: Conan begins the ceremony with a brilliant Weapond skit in full Aunt Gladys make up to Beastie Boys Sabotage with a gang if kids chasing him through the sets of Sentimental Value, Marty Supreme, Hamnet, One Battle After Another, and an animated Kpop Demon Hunters. 5:14 pm PST/8:14 pm EST: Sinner mentioned again. Michael B. Jordan to the power of 10. New Leonardo DiCaprio meme just dropped.
