Via The Hollywood Reporter, KPop Demon Hunters has won ten awards at the Annie awards. The awards include best voice acting for Arden Cho (Teen Wolf, The Selection), voice actor for Rumi, best character animation, best direction, best editorial, best feature, best FX, best music, best character design, best writing and best production design. 

KPop Demon Hunters was directed by Chris Appelhans (Rise of The Guardians, The Boss Baby 3) and Maggie Khan (The Lego Ninjago Movie, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa), premiering on June 20, 2025. Regardless of the musical having limited marketing, it managed to hold 481.6 million views on Netflix by December 2025. 

Other notable awards include Arco for best independent feature, Win Or Lose for best limited series, A Sparrow’s Song for best student film, How To Train Your Dragon for best character animation in the live action category, and The Bad Guys 2 for best storyboarding feature. 

The Winsor McCay Award was awarded to Cris Sanders (How To Train Your Dragon,The Call of the Wild), Christopher Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Mitchells vs. the Machines), Michael Dudok de Wit (Christmas Carol: The Movie, The Aroma of Tea) and Phil Lord (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Strays). The June Foray award was given to Sandy Rabins (The Prince of Egypt, Open Season 2). The ASIFA-Hollywood Merit Award was presented to Haley Mirren Douthit and Jeffrey New (The Addams Family, The Fate of the Furious). 

KPop Demon Hunters stars Cho as Rumi, May Hong (Tales of The City, New Amsterdam) as Mira, Ji-young Yoo (Until Dawn, Moxie) as Zoey, Ahn Hyo-seop (Dr. Romantic, Still 17) as Jinu, Danny Chung (The Girlfriend, Ruby Gilman: Teenage Kranken) as Baby Saja, SungWon Chu (In Your Dreams, Knights of Guinevere) as Abby Saja, Alan Lee (100 Meters, Troll 2) as Mystery Saja, Joel Kim Booster (Fire Island, Loot) as Romance Saja, Lee Byung-hun (Squid Game, Mr. Sunshine) as Gwi-Ma, Yunjin Kim (XO Kitty, Shiri) as Celine and Ken Jeong as Bobby (Community, Zookeeper)  The film is available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
