

After five weeks, Avatar Fire and Ash is still bringing in the big bucks, having yet to be dethroned from first. But, not without any contenders as coming in second was 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, which put up a valiant fight that just couldn’t eke out for the final stretch. Avatar finished with 13.32 million and helped stay just slightly ahead of the Bone Temple’s 13 million. The sleepy MLK weekend continues with Zootopia 2 hanging out to the top three with 8.76 million in its eighth week. Internationally, Zootopia 2 has broken multiple records, putting it on its way to be one of the most profitable animated films of all time.
The bottom of the top five went to The Housemaid, and 4th, which, after 5 weeks, brought home another 8.51 million for its haul. Marty Supreme finished in fifth with 5.47 million, also in its fifth week, and is a personal win for A24 as one of the most successful runs in theaters.
Primate drops to sixth in its second week with 5 million, beating out Greenland 2, which also in its second week, taking home only for 3.36 million for a seventh-place finish. Trailing just behind Greenland is Anaconda, which is spelled this way to overtake Greenland with 3.2 million in its fourth week.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Search For SquarePants finished in ninth with 2.31 million in its fifth week, underperforming for its release, and will likely be starting the migration to streaming soon. Tenth went to No Other Choice with 2.3 million in its fourth week.
