Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU) is about to introduce one of its biggest characters yet: Knull, the creator of the symbiotes. In the upcoming Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock will face this formidable new adversary, marking the end of his journey as Venom for now. But, according to director Kelly Marcel, Knull’s introduction is just the beginning.

During a Sony presentation at New York Comic Con 2024, Marcel addressed fans’ curiosity about Knull’s role in Venom: The Last Dance. Although the actor portraying Knull remains unknown, Marcel shared that Knull’s story is far from over. 

“This is just the introduction to Knull. Obviously, he’s a massive character, so you could never do one and done with him,” she said. “You will get to meet him, and then what the future holds for him—who knows.”

With Knull being such a significant figure in the Marvel comics, Marcel’s comments have sparked speculation about his future in the SSU. While Venom: The Last Dance and Kraven the Hunter are currently the only confirmed SSU films, Marcel’s remarks suggest that Sony may have plans for further projects, possibly with Knull taking on larger roles.
