With the release of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice just around the corner, many of the actors are out and about with press tours promoting the film. However, one actor took a chance to talk about a follow-up to a film he worked on some years ago.
Justin Theroux is making an appearance in the upcoming sequel to Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice, where he stars alongside series stars Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder.
One project that Theroux worked on in the past is Tropic Thunder, a 2008 comedy where a movie crew attempts to make a war movie, but are forced to do it on location, only for them to have to fight a war of their own. Theroux served as a writer on the film, alongside director Ben Stiller and Etan Cohen.
When given the proposition of a sequel, and if he would work on one, Theroux said, “It never ceases to amaze me how navel-gazing it can be. There’s a million things — we’ve gone through so many movements in Hollywood that I think those would all be somehow in the mix.”
“Listen, if an idea strikes me, like it struck Tim, where it’s like, ‘Oh, this could be a sequel,’ I’ll definitely do a sequel,” he told ComicBook.Com.
