Four months until the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, actor Karan Soni recently spoke about what’s to come during an interview about his other film debuting at South By Southwest.
In an exclusive interview with Screenrant, Soni, who plays taxi driver Dopinder in both previous Deadpool films, and will be making a return in the latest installment, spoke about how the film was originally supposed to be made years ago, but that its release is finally on track.
Soni explains how the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently undergoing a transitional period and because of that, Ryan Reynolds, who is back as Deadpool, took advantage of making fun of certain things from the studio and the content being made.
The actor also implores fans to not spoil the film when it comes closer to release and are learning more about the plot, as there will be a lot of surprises in store and it will be really fun for audiences to be able to experience it all in theaters.
From what Soni was explaining about big surprises, Screenrant theorizes that some characters from different 20th Century Fox Marvel films might make an appearance during this film.
Since assassin character Elektra, played by Jennifer Gardner in the 2005 Marvel film of the same name, has been confirmed to be making an appearance in the new Deadpool film, these sorts of surprise appearances and plot devices pertaining to even more well known characters and films would bring much more excitement to audience members.
Deadpool & Wolverine are set to break the fourth wall of theaters July 26.
