Upon the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA strike, many projects have been able to resume their normal production schedule. Among these movies is the upcoming Deadpool 3.
Marvel executive Wendy Jacobson took to Instagram to share the news on the production. As Comicbook.com points out as well, the team all seems eager to jump back into the swing of things, and bring the Merc with a Mouth back to the big screen.
Deadpool 3 is currently scheduled as the only MCU entry to hit theaters in 2024. Director Shawn Levy has stated that since Disney’s acquisition of Fox, they’re leaning full tilt into the maturity of the films, and will retain the R rating the first and second film sported.
On the post, Jacobson wrote, “This Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for the gifts of being back at work and watching the sun rise from set today. Speaking of gifts, these icons return to the big screen JULY 26, 2024.”
Alongside Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine in the upcoming movie, generating a large amount of hype from fans.
With Hugh Jackman returning as also comes Jennifer Garner’s return as Elektra, reprising her role from the 2003 Daredevil film, and the 2005 film Elektra. This makes way for massive speculation as to what other characters could appear not only in this installment, but future films as well.
