Coming from Yale Entertainment and Shout! Studios, The Kill Room has just been set for a theatrical release of September 28th. It will mark the reunion of Pulp Fiction stars Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman, since the 1994 classic from Quentin Tarantino.
The new movie, directed by Nicol Paone, can be described as a dark comedy, with aspects of a thriller. After an art dealer teams up with a hitman and his boss, in an attempt to pull off a money laundering scheme, the hitman, played by Joe Manganiello, becomes an instant sensation. The art dealer, played by Thurman, must then figure out how to balance the art world with the criminal underworld. Other cast members include Debi Mazar, Dree Hemingway, and Amy Keum.
In a statement to Deadline, straight from Paone, the director said, “working with Uma, Sam, Joe, and the rest of this incredible cast was nothing short of amazing. I thank each and every member of the cast and our incredible crew for their inspired work and continued support of The Kill Room. We had so much to work with, thanks to Jonathan Jacobson’s extremely fun and original script, and I am thrilled to partner with Shout! Studios on the release and know our film is in incredible hands.”
The film is written by Jonathan Jacobson and will release to theaters September 28th.
